How Does Best Price Home Work?

It is common practice among illegitimate shopping sites to flaunt cheap prices for their products; prices that are too good to be true. They are also known to give unnecessarily heavy discounts.

In the case of Best Price Home, most of these discounts are termed “Black Friday prices”. Some of the payment methods available include; Stripe, VISA, Mastercard, etc.

Best Price Home: Red Flags Found?

Here are some things we found (or didn’t find) on homedepotmall.com

Reviews:

Probably the most important thing to look out for when you would shop with any online store is the reviews section. Any online store, big, or small, is bound to have good and bad reviews. This is because no service is perfect.

Therefore it becomes suspicious when a store has only good or only bad reviews. Homedepotmall.com has neither. During our investigation, we did not find any product reviews whatsoever. Legit shopping sites usually ask for customer reviews in order to show authenticity and approval ratings. Scam sites do not request reviews.

Finally, third party sites have reviews from customers saying they never get the products they ordered for, and efforts to reach the customer service proved futile. This is a major red flag!

Refund Policy:

Best Price Home has a 30-day return policy. This means that you have 30 days after you receive your item, to determine whether or not you’re satisfied and return it. It is important to note that a condition for returning is that the item must be in the same condition it was when you got it, with its tags and original packaging. This is good.

What is not good is that you can’t exactly return products you never received, as earlier stated. Also, one of the conditions for returning a product is that the package has not been opened. How do you confirm the authenticity of a product without opening? Yeah you guessed right. It’s a scam!

Heavy Discounts:

It is normal for stores to give discounts on certain products from time to time. However, having most of your products sold at less than 60% the original price over a long period of time is questionable.

Besides, the fact that there are no social media handles to confirm these “promos” is another big question mark. The supposed linked icons to facebook, twitter, etc. only bring you to the websites’ home page. This is another red flag.

Verdict:

The fact that homedepotmall.com was created on November 25, 2020 and has no social media presence says a lot about them. There’s also the small fact that their domain name is a rip-off of an already established mall; Home Depot Mall, who deny having anything to do with the website.

This website has all the makings of a scam and you would be safer staying away from them. Before you shop with any site, be sure to read multiple reviews about them (one may be misleading).
