How Does This Scam Works?

During our in-depth investigation, we discovered the following ways the store works.

Fake Address

Makes use of the following address ‘Pennsylvania 216 Pheasant rd’. However, the address is a fake one, and is in no way linked to the website. The address is that of a family house, as can be seen in Zillow (a real estate website)

Unbelievable Price Of Items

Uses  low price as a bait to make people shop from them. Just like many fraudulent websites, this is just a way for them to get shoppers trooping to their store. It doesn’t mean they would fulfill their end of the bargain.

No Owner Information

The About Us page just contains a line of generic content which says nothing about the owners, their goals or policies. This alone screams scam. No serious business would be carefree about their information. This goes to show that this store is not genuine as it lacks transparency.

Cloned Website

Designs their website to look like the legit Roc or Trek website. However, they are no way linked to the real store. They don’t even provide an authorization document showing they have been authorized to use the Roc paddle boards or Trek bike brand.

Send a Cheap Different Item

When they have collected money for the order, they don’t send the order you paid for, but a different cheap item. They might send a scarf, socks, or even a fake eyeglass.
